| MK PitStop Member | I find and I also think that alot of people think that it easy to rank high in MSN, but I have noticed that once you rank high say in google for something you were ranking high in MSN then the rankings start to drop, its like as if google rank for other things. Has any one else noticed this?

| Member Level 3 | Normaly this happens as the serps dont like to rank the same sites, so they rank different sites. Soon you will start seeing that msn are going to act different because there ment to be working on some good things | ||

| MK Moderator ![]() | I think this may be true - I've been getting great rankings in MSN, but recently they've started to drop. Is this maybe because I'm climbing on Google? I quite liked my top spot on MSN to be honest. | ||

Also think that Google should bring better traffic as well | ||

| MK PitStop Member | Does that mean that higher ranking in Google is preferred than a high rank in MSN? What about ranking in Yahoo and other search engines? I tend to think that most SEO companies aim for increase in Google page rank of a site rather than in any other search engine. | ||

| Member Level 2 | Personally I think that being highly ranked on any of the major search engines for your intended audience is a good thing. And while many see google as the god of search engines, does it really matter where your site hits come from as long as you get them? Certainly Google is the most spoken about, and most common, but keep picking away with your back links, providing good honest information on a well presented site and you will get there in the end. In the mean time keep improving your site, its NEVER good enough, and be happy with the hits you are getting.

| Member Level 3 | I've noticed that my sites have shown up a lot quicker and higherin MSN than Google. Google has taken a few months longer and I'm now getting almost similar results from it as I am from MSN. I've noticed this with multiple sites. I'm not sure what factors affect it. Maybe the length of time a page has been in googles index is a factor. Or, maybe there's some additional processing on googles side to filter out spammy/dodgy tactics and new sites don't get in the listings until they've gone through that process. | ||
