| Hello everyone. I have a domain name which is relatively well placed in Google (page 2), but I have since opened up a new site with a new domain name. The old name points directly to my site when clicking the hyperlink from Google, but I would like for it to list the newer name. Is there a way to do this ? Or should I just verify that I own the older domain and have Google remove it from searches ? Thanks ! | |||

| MK PitStop Member | Submit the new link to google... I've recently done something like this, i moved my forums from site.com/forums to just site.com - it will take google a bit to notice, if your site was heavily crawled before, you may take a little hit for a while. That is the main reason I chose NOT to get a new domain name when my site expanded its theme. it wasn't worth forcing new keywords in the domain, so i just figured ill go with the idea of domain branding over keywords | ||
