Blogging is useful for SEO.

If you have blog on your domain, you will always have fresh content - SE link this.

If you have blog on another domain, you can get strong backlinks from it. And it is useful for website promoting. Think, if you have a quality blog, witch have 100 visitors a day. You post a review of your website to it and how many visitors will check this website? 50%? More?

Yes very true, alot of people use there blogs now to boost there other websites and it can be a great idea like you say, aslong as they dont bore people with it

How could I add a blog to it, so that it benefits from the above information. And what kind of info should I publish on such a blog?

Not adding a blog to your site and adding it to a different site is better, then get traffic to your blog and get it's name out, then you would do the odd review to your service site so that people take a look in intrest.

Well this means creating ANOTHER site and ADVERTISING/MARKETING/SEO'ing another site! doesn't that take alot of time?

Howabout I make a blog on a subdomain like:

blog.koopmanmedia.com

And talk about webdesign related issues there. A subdomain is looked as a nother site through SE's right?

Yes. Blogs is verry importants nowdays. Blogs will help you to get backlinks from content rich pages,you can review and marketing your products and services in blogs etc etc.

You can submit your blog in verious Directories and Search Engines and you will get from this directories and seach engines. if you know that integrate blog with RSS Feed is good idea nowdays. This will help you for crawling and Indexing purpose.

And it's batter to use third party services for hosting blogs like blogger.com and tblog.com and many more.
