What is the benefit of a 5 year old domain?

There is a good benefit, aslong as its not been band or harmed in any way.

There good for a number of reasons like ranking them and if you just bought it there could be lots of traffic with it so that is a good start. Backlinks if the domain name has a good number of backlinks that can help and deffently if there related to the website your going to be bilding on the domain name

Well I got dikkop.com and have had a website on it, and am going to build a project on it, if I can't get the .nl version. That's why I ask! And how much could I ask for such a domain?

yes that domain is 5 years old, how much could I get for it.

And how would it benefit me on building a project / website on it?

It has only a pr of 2 and had a similar site on it before...

Well the PR isnt great so it is hard to say how it would benefit, is it getting traffic we would have to know details on it to find out more, as its hard to say what price to put on it.

That domain is not 5 years old. It was register at 21 Sep 2003 10:23:58.

one more thing is that not only domain name age is important in SEO. but age of site and age of page also matter.

all tools says that domain was created in"2003".

but http://web.archive.org is also trustable and many famous SEO Expert use it.

also one fact is that Google now use WHOIS data to check age and rank site. and here as you can see WHOIS shows register Date at 21 Sep 2003 10:23:58.
