Lately, I have noticed that Google isn't giving much importance to directory links and my sites only managed to get PR3 after submitting to hundreds of directories. What are your opinions? | ||

It's probably the fact that alot of the directories have PR0 - PR3. I had paid someone to submit my site to around 1,000 directories and my PR didn't increase at all after the update. Infact it actually went down one point. I went from PR6 to PR5. Hopefully it will get to PR6 again.

It’s not necessary that if you have submitted your site to hundreds or may be even more directories your site should acquire a PR boost. There are a number of other factors for boosting PR through backlinks as it depends on how relevant and quality backlinks you are getting and at the same time if those sites also have a decent PR. If you are keen on directory submissions then you can also submit in some of the selected paid directories which have a good PR so that your site is always on the main page which will benefit your site till you are with them. | ||

Hello guys I always choose 10 paid directories rather than 50 free directories. and I always choose HIGH PR directories. Whenever I get lists of thousands of lists of directories, 35 % are absolutely worthless. So I have to check each one very carefully.. Steve | ||
