Default Directory submissions

Lately, I have noticed that Google isn't giving much importance to directory links and my sites only managed to get PR3 after submitting to hundreds of directories. What are your opinions?

It's probably the fact that alot of the directories have PR0 - PR3. I had paid someone to submit my site to around 1,000 directories and my PR didn't increase at all after the update. Infact it actually went down one point. I went from PR6 to PR5.

Hopefully it will get to PR6 again.

It’s not necessary that if you have submitted your site to hundreds or may be even more directories your site should acquire a PR boost. There are a number of other factors for boosting PR through backlinks as it depends on how relevant and quality backlinks you are getting and at the same time if those sites also have a decent PR.

If you are keen on directory submissions then you can also submit in some of the selected paid directories which have a good PR so that your site is always on the main page which will benefit your site till you are with them.

Hello guys

I always choose 10 paid directories rather than 50 free directories. and I always choose HIGH PR directories. Whenever I get lists of thousands of lists of directories, 35 % are absolutely worthless. So I have to check each one very carefully..

Hey but got a pr3 !!!, not bad at all !!!.
You can then work on exchanging links + forum signatures + blog comments with nofollow, you should get to pr5 right?

I think automatic tool is also killing directory submission as well. If you will get the fellow who is doing manual submission than there is higher chances that your website will get quality backlinks.

So go for a manual submission even if you have to pay little extra.

You have submitted by your self or hired some one. If hired than there is high chances that fellow have not performed his job efficiently.

Only submission is not good enough, that should be submitted in the proper category with the perfect keyword.

No back links are important unless and until it came from your niche with your keywords. This is also applicable for Directory Submission. Google is showing 113 backlinks for my website and in those 113 almost 65 are coming from directories and this figure increase to three figures when I checked with yahoo.

So important thing is quality not quantity.
