Good tips there. I'd also suggest submitting your site to social bookmarking sites to get some traffic and submitting to directories to get more backlinks.

Nice points. Just to add a point, the online tools are great with just one exception and that's the Google ranking checkers.

Google does not like it that people use third party softwares and scripts for checking their ranks, instead, use the manual searching.
