I use google webmaster tools ...in the tools there's a Tab which says: Statistics and under this there's a sub-tab which says: Query Stats

in the Query stats page it shows "Top search queries" and "Average top position" and for me it shows that for a specific keyword my website has the avegare top position of 43. What does this means ?

The column on the left relates to what keywords people are searching for generally and where you sit in the page rankings.

The column on the right is a list of the keywords people type in and then click through to your site with.
