I am absolutely lost, I've read about all these traffic generating services http:www.searchfeed.com a pay per click service http://www.indexfaster.net a blog and ping service http://www.blastengine.com a submission service bet each will take my hard earned. Can anyone testify to any of these that they are OK. Any help much appreciated..

That's a very vague question. You would have to be very specific. What do you want to promote?

I haven't checked out the links you provided and have no experience with them, but I do have experience with other "Drive traffic to your site" services. I've paid some who promise thousands of visitors to your site, yet to find out later through our own tracking system that they weren't sending actual visitors to our sites.
In my experience, the most guaranteed results (yet can be pricey) is google adwords. Not saying the "best" results, but they have provided the most results.

I'd search forums and do alot of homework on a company before paying them for this. Get users' opinions.

In case you do not find this site active, it is a kind of gambling site where they ask you to click on the advertiser link below, regardless of whether you are interested or not! They have to click on it to continue.

We notified Searchfeed and they said they'd warned their network partner, and of course, convinced us to buy more traffic.

This time, over 90% of our traffic was these ghost clicks. Of course Searchfeed has not replied to our emails any more.

If you do not mind getting ghost clicks, then advertise with Searchfeed. We get a few 1000 pay per click visits from different sources. Our experience with Searchfeed was based on about 600-700 clicks. Not one of them was an interested party.

You really only need to show the spiders that your site exists, and if they follow a link from a popular site, your site's existance will register--they don't need to find it from 1000 different places at once. If you have 1000 links from blogs that probably aren't terribly popular or well ranked, that'll just show up as 1000 low quality backlinks that may or may not help you ranking-wise.

Rather than shell out 50 bucks, I would get a few high quality links and give it some time. Search engines are slow, and a service like this probably won't speed them up any. Unless their blogs are very popular and highly ranked, you're better off spending that money elsewhere.

I find Google Adwords is a good PPC program but can get expensive, so that depends how much a visitor is worth to you.

To promote on the cheap exchange links with acquaintances , include your URL iyou signature on forums, newsgroup posts and emails. Also submit your site to free directories. Find sites that will be of similar interest to your readers and ask if they would like to exchange links, always be courteous and make your emails personal (think how you would respond to the email that you are sending).

Personally, before I EVER invested in paying for adwords or other advertising companies; I would be active on forums and include my link in my signature. I would also SEO myself, since I know how, or you could pay a professional.

SEO is the key to a site along with its content.
