How much would you pay to get the job done?

SEO has no great secrets, we all have read about it and know all about link exchange, link building, meta tags, manual directory submission and so on but does it substitute the knowing hand of a professional SEO?

Do you really think amateurs can do it as efficiently or would you pull out the bucks and pay a professional SEO? What do you think is the fair budget for a three-month campaign?

I think it really depends on your site, its content and the keyword you are targeting.

Unless you are running a company and don't have inhouse experts and are limited for time, I don't believe it is worth paying anything for SEO. Do it yourself and learn in the process.

i payed so much amount for seo to offshore companies, but they didnt prove to be the physible for anything, i think its better to learn yourself and implement the learnings and repare your own staff for this

Learn your self and the cash you were planning on spending on the SEO spend on links and make sure you use keywords in your links.

I wouldnt I would read the pages within this site as there are lots of good ways to teach you how to rank number one and there cant be a garantee in SEO comapies to rank your site number 1 in the search engines.

I think it's a bit to hard to be honest to doing seo aswell as content writing, layout design, coding and advertising/marketing it! I don't have much time on my hands lately and adding seo to it, well just no time!

How do I approach seo right now then?

A total amateur here: If you like your own site, you will find the way how to advertise it. And if you like your site, you'll put time and work in it - it will probably become a good site. It's important that people like your site not only those crawling spiders. I rely on direct advertising: people to people. Place for this are forums.
