So, I always read about people making a full-time income from Adsense. I'm wondering HOW exactly? Does it have to do with making those annoying ads only sites and proliferating them all over the web? Does it have to do with blogging with Adsense included? Is it a combination?

How do you make money with Adsense? Right now, I just have some ads on my websites - content sites and ecommerce - and am making very little, although it is steady.

Anyone have some great tips on how to increase it?

You just get some money letting some adverts appear on your site and that's it.

$1 a day from 10 visitors

just increase the visitors to say 100 and that should get you $10 a day and so on, but its not as simple as that, you get the idea on the way it works.

that is pretty neat! i made about $75 in a month, didn't pay out thought because some one went on my site and repeatedly clicked the link - resulting in me being removed for fraud clicking.. wasn't happy

I am sorry to hear about that. I think that's a drawback of Google Adsense and other adsense programs. Your competitors can easily harm your account by click bombing ads on your site.
