Spring Update 2007

Hello everyone
does anybody know when the update is comming out in the UK?
i heard week begining may 7th so that is this week.

All that is known is that the Spring Update will be coming out "the week of
May 7th."

The Spring Update applies to ALL Xbox 360 owners; that means US, UK and all
other regions of the world

Major Nelson is reporting (http://www.majornelson.com/) the update will
start to roll out about 0200 (Pacific Time at Microsoft) on May 9, 2007.

Will the update scroll the text for music and movies when the text is to
long for the line it's on? MS said for the very first update that this would
be in it. They said the text for movies and music when you are browsing
network shares etc that the text would scroll so you could read the whole
thing. It doesn't do it so MS obviously did not touch this for the very
first update even though they said it was in the update.

MS lied and have not made good on what they said for the very first update.
This aint new for them. They always lie.

Hi everyone,

I just want to let you all know that the spring update that my xbox
automatically downloaded last night has bricked it.

I get 3 red lights on the ROL and the power supply LED is green. This
means that I need to send it back! This is the second time it has
happened to me (Fall update nightmare), but this time Microsoft tell
me that I am out of warranty! The xbox they sent me after the last
bricking was older and that one is out of warranty!

DON'T UPDATE YET!!!! WAIT UNTIL THE INCOMPETANT IDIOTS SORT IT
OUT!!!!!

I have to pay £85 to get it repaired which I think is just criminal.
They broke it, they should fix it. The support call centre (India)
say that it was just a coincidence, and that coincidence happened
twice!!!!!! Idiots.

Microsoft: I will be taking legal action to regain this money.
Standby.

Everyone: If this has happened to you, get in touch with Watchdog!

It is unlikely to be the update - do the test to see exactly what the
secondary error code is - it is probably hardware and your box was about to
fail anyway.

Given the number of updates that have happened over the last 24 hours there
does not appear to be an issue with the update killing 360s.
