Default text links on a blog... sponsor section in a foruM?

I'm thinking about selling text links in my blog for $25ea, and complete topics to desiginated sponsors of my forum for $100.

I'm a long ways away from this though as it's all still new... but how many members/visitors per day should a site see before these numbers are worth their weight in gold?

just wondering, it gives me a target to shoot for!

To me its not always about visiters or members that the website has as placing links on a good content website can really help as well

You should have plenty of visitors, enough to where some actually stay and read the content. That brings me to my second point. Content is key here. If you have no-good content, who is going to wnat to advertise with you. Advertisers are not going to wnat to pay for ads that have bad content which in turn will bring in lower visitors, its kind of like a cycle. Content+Promotion=Visitors=$$$

I wouldnt agree with that, there is alot more to websites than content. OK content will help in a big way, but think about it where would you be with NO backlinks to your website.

You can always place any kind of things, images and text on your website, how ever you do it will help in different ways, BUT its no good doing all that and still haveing no links to your website

MK has written this, Content is NOT King

Content matters. The more popular and focused the content is, the better odds you'll have in advertising. Target categories and it will become even better. Content can can mean more than just text. I'm talking about media, images, etc. But text content is what search engines see only.

Very true, aiming at both search engines and visitors is the main thing to increase the success of a website.
