what are your view's on coreldraw?

hi guys i have on my comp coreldraw and i am going to start to get to know the program but just wanted to know people's views on how well the program is and if it's an easy program to use?

Never used it, and I didn't even know it still existed. Seems like the only thing you hear anymore is PhotoShop, PhotoShop, and PhotoShop.

yer had been speaking to the IT department at work and themain guy there use's the photosho as well, yes it is still around never new it was gone. It is sat on my comp its not an old version one of the new ones i think, had a little play with it but not quite sure hpe to operate it.

I think madkad used his version to create my sig as you see at the bottom so it carnt be that bad.

I'm not sayin' anything against it... I'm color-blind, so all the photo editting, etc stuff is way out of my league! I'm just sayin' I hadn't heard it mentioned for a long time.

coreldraw I think is a little over priced and out of league, I use photoshop and think the program is made to the min and a basic program so it runs fast, I have also used paint shop pro 9 and this isn't basic they have tried to style the program and this makes it run slow, so when doing graphics its a pain as you want the program to open windows fast etc etc. As for coreldraw other people might have different thoughts on it but I really don't like the style and layout also its a little to much on the high tech side for starters.

wot would u recomend for first starters then kad and how much can these cost, and are they on the net free to download?

well I would say start with photoshop, this isnt free unless you download it and brake the law but I am sure there is a free trial check out the Adobe site. Also with photoshop any tuts that you might want making I would love to try and help you out there

Another bonus with PS is that there are 1000's of tutorials on the web, and since it seems to be the norm (at least in the states), there are 1,000,000's of people to go to for help!

very true, there are more for PS than PSP thats another reason I changed over the software I use to PS
