Default Moving a layer

I created an adjustment layer using a selection on an image. Now I want
to apply that layer to a different image (actually the same image with
other edits). When I drag that layer from the first image to the second
one, I have to carefully line up the selection. Is there a way to make
the move snap to the selection? Thanks.

Are both the same size image ? If so , just hold down shift , while
dragging, and it will align exactly.
