How to - background

I was wondering if any one can help me. I use photoshop but I am not a
grapics artist so I was wondering if someone could help understand how to
create a background like the one on the following site: www.fender.com.

I need to create something exciting and colorful like this but I really have
no clue how to even start.

Any help appreciated.

well that picture is a composite of many layers, and masks.
collect the pictures that you want, one on each layer and then do some
making on them and save the whole thing as jpeg (for best quality)
that was the condensed version.

you need to learn at least the basics of photoshop.

> So perhaps if you've got no idea how to use photoshop it's not a good id to
use this software ... I think to start image-editing you could start with a
software a lot easier like Jasc paintshop pro (number 5 is enought).

You don't have to learn so much ... not more that how to use layers and how to
select !!!
But you HAVE to have an idea about the final image you want to get !

I am sorry if I gave you the idea that I don't know how to use photoshop. I
use it everyday in all different ways from the healing bandaid to multiple
layered photographs.

My question really did not have anything to do with how to use photoshop my
question was trying to get an idea on how that type of picture was made. All
my work involves photographs not graphics as much.
