Default copy x2

Hi, I used the copy function and pasted fine but when I tried to copy
something else the copy function was unobtainable (unhighlighted).
Anyone know how to copy again?

Thanks

John

good advise except the last

copy won't work unless *something* is selected!( and you are on the layer
with something on it).

Paul,

Yes, you are correct, I worded that badly. I meant for him to press ctrl-d
to deselect anything that may be selected he didn't notice. Then of course
select the area he wants to copy.

My bad!
