I-POd is a better way of managing your portable music. But, in most cases theres almost no difference between any of them.

Ipod is just a specific brand of a mp3 player etc. from apple. I don't like it as well as I like the sony mp3 player.

Everyone has already answered here. iPod is just an mp3 (some of them, mp4 too) player. It's really no different to other mp3 players just it's a brand name so more expensive, example if you wore Nike clothes or generic clothes, for a social status symbol in some places/who you're talking to it's better to say Nike, the same is with iPod. Nike and Generic clothes are still just clothing (including shoes) and iPod and Generic mp3/mp4 players are just mp3/mp4 players. Just a brand name.

Ipod is a product of apple and ipod is so famous now that mp3 or mp4 player is regocnizing by ipod. and there is no difference in Ipod and mps players.
