What RAM do you use for gaming

What RAM do you use for gaming, I only use 512mb to play COD 2 but I am going up to 1GB soon

i have 1.7 gig of course i need 512 or more for warcraft but does help having more

1.7gig thats a funny number do you meen in total on your RAM you have 1024

i am on a small 512 and it not made much of a difference from 256

Did want to go to 1gb but need a graphics card so have to wait a lttle while longer

I take it you have 2 x 256 RAM then?

If you didnt see much differrence then it might not be working, I can see the difference when i upgrade pc's, have you your system with just the new 256 RAM in?

nope kad i mean ive got 4 spaces for ddr ram ive got a 256/512 and a 1 gig stick

LOl dan serprized your system is running, did you know that say you 1gb and 512mb RAM was running at 133MHz and the 256mb is running at 100MHz the computer tells them all to run at the lowest speed and in this it would be 100MHz

do you know what the MHz is of each RAM stick?

i have a 2ghz pc with 512mb ram runs great for me when playing games but some games lagg i dunno why when there specs are right for my pc to run, its strange...

most games place a spec that is needed on the game for 1 reason

1) you need, the game will play but you will need more for it to play well.

the reason they do this is to get more sales, if they placed high specs on then they would sell less. So when buying a game allways try and get higher specs than it requiers

Im running 2gb of DDR400, went from 1gb to 2gb and the difference was amazing, load times were incredibly faster and higher fps aswell. Definately worth having 2gb for any kind of gaming.
