What RAM do you use for gaming

seeing as this thread turned into somewhat of a " whats needed " let me ask you all a question. i'm in the process of building a gaming only comp. i'm looking at amd 64 x2 5400 [ think its 2.8 ghz] and dual 8500 gt nvidia evga vid cards but i can't decide on how much " ram " to run. i wanna play WoW ofcourse but i want to also play lineage 2. i know a cpu can be built for under 1k that can run almost anything out right now [ lol besides Vangaurd , i hear that game is rough on even a higher end cpu]. i was looking at DDR2 MainBoard)1GB (2x512MB) PC6400 DDR2/800 Dual Channel Memory and raid-0 with 160GB (80GBx2) SATA-II 3.0Gb/s 8MB Cache 7200RPM HDD. any help would be appreciated , im somewhat new to pieceing together a comp. by the way my name is D , wanted to say hello
