Personal Computer Used as a Game Console

When I was in college, there are gaming centers that use computers for games. That is the time when counterstrike was really hot and are played from kids to people who have kids already. Compare to game consoles, are computers better when it comes to game compatability?

Definatley, just get a lan party going and you can hook up all your comps and play anything from CS to ET to Starcraft to C&C. You could even have an MMO lan party....

I wouldn't agree... consoles especially these days have very good connectivity and have better performance in games than computers.

If you get the chance, play on console cafes. It's a lot more fun playing on consoles than computers... except of course if you're after MMORPGs or turn-based games.
