| Some "wonderful" person has managed to hack into my PayPal account ... and seems their scam is to desposit money from another PayPal account into mine, then transfer the money out to a bank account ... after which they claim that the good/services from me have not been delivered and therefore demand the money back through a PayPal report. Of course, I have spotted this and quickly phoned PayPal to get it sorted. But, in the meantime ... my account is locked, supposedly to prevent any further 'unauthorised activity', whilst they investigate the incident. Bugs me that they've also said that it may be locked for up to 30 days whilst they investigate ... so there's no consideration from them, for what this will do to my eBay account in that time, nor to the people that I now cannot complete transactions with. How they got my details, I will never know as I use an up to date AV, firewall and am cautious/careful of any emails arriving. My passwords are always kept to be non-straightforward so brute force would take ages to complete. What hacks me off is that in the space of 12 hours they have added a bank account and withdrawn the money from my account ... I legitimately added a bank account and it took about 2 weeks to confirm the account (two small deposits) and then a further 5-7 days to withdraw cash. I don't understand how come it's nearly a month for me to add an account. | |||
