As this is crossposted to a bunch of PRO-EEKbay groups, the logic that
EEKbay is not the be all, and end all, is going to be lost on many reading
this.

But,....SPRING IS HERE, and with it YARD SALES !!!!!!!

No,...not any new microwave ovens to report yet, but I did pick up an almost
brand new Raleigh Bicycle, that still has the paper labels on the tires.
$7.00,....and there was no shipping or handling charges.
The seller got their cash immediately, and didn't have lose any percentage
of it for "listing fees", they didn't need to waste a day composing a
listing, or paying for a computer program to do it for them, And I got to
examine the merchandise before "placing my bid"

And I didn't have to wait weeks for an auction to run out, or the post to
ship it.
I actually rode it home.

No handling costs. I was in the neighborhood anyway.
And I was driving a stolen car so the gas and wear/tear
didn't cost me anything. And I got the cash from the bank.
I had to go there anyway to apply for a loan for the big
screen TV so I could watch Oprah.

I was going to set up tables and sit out front for several
hours any way. No time wasted. While sitting out there,
watching all the strangers rifle through my stuff and
the little kids chase my cat, I did my nails.

Yard sales get the bottom feeder buyers, and are a pain in the ass to do.

They are good for getting rid of stuff that normally would have gone in
the dumpster.

I'll probably do one in June to clear out the garage. I'll staff it with
a neighborhood kid.
