Default What do you think of Ebay seller fees?

Ebay fees seem like they increase all the time. I feel they take a good chunk out of the sold items. Besides those fees, most all buyers/sellers use paypal now, so you have those fees too. What do you guys think?

I think that the seller fees are tolerable, but the store fees are absolutely outrageously overpriced.

I feel that for sales of low amounts, the seller fees tend to take a big portion out of a potential profit, especially when the customer pays through paypal.

Compared to other auction websites and payment handlers, eBay and Paypal offer great value for sellers, but if eBay/ Paypal were incorporated in a sale, a great incentive would be a discount.

They look into it alot for them selfs and think they would earn more money by lowering the amount in fees as more people would be able to sell, I speech to people that have stoped selling as they wouldnt risk selling new items due to the fees.

I think you need to look at the fees on a broader view, most ppl compare the costs to brick and mortar shop. But i prefer to see it a global avenue when looking at it in this respect the fees are not too bad.

Tough i agree the shop are expensive i mean why would you pay 600 a month for an achour shop.

Also i have a dislike to some of the charges for listing enchancements 15p per gallery, can cost over £1 for muliple pictures i think is way over the top. 7p for a border template. These are the little niggles i have with ebay fees.

And in regard to paypal, unfortunately i donnt think i could say much about that with out gettting a few red cards

I personally only put listings on on the 1p listing days such as ebooks etc, i think the seller fees are getting a bit too much.

I hate the eBay fees. eBay charges you listing fees even if the item does not sell which I don't find appealing. I have tried selling internationally on eBay and unless you have something of value to sell on eBay that will surely sell and can give you huge profits, then the fees are ok. The profits will cover for the fees. Otherwise, you'll end up losing money from the fees.

Smile ebay seller fees

I personally think that they are way to high and I strongly agree with the eating into the sold items profits.......dont mind paying when i am selling but loath the thought of shelling out week after week when there isnt much ebay traffic around, am I the only one that finds it goes dead as a stone?
