A lot of ntlworld customers are not moneymakers for ntl. I know I wasn't .... they charged BT clients £15 per month for 24/7 dial up but gave away £15 of calls included in that price. I used to end up phoning competition lines at the end of each month to use up my £15 call allowance ... Mike M -- Xenocyte Books. Now on eBay. They're back. And this time it's serious. http://tinyurl.com/g1jt Today's top item: Tolkien History of Middle Earth Deluxe - if you blanch at the price, you aren't the target audience ...

Spamming and other assorted demeanours such as putting up adverts on your webspace are about the only thing which ntl appear to take seriously - I put up a website for my son's playgroup on my webspace and was almost immediately phoned by the abuse department. If he does it again he is likely to lose his account and cease to be a ntl customer. Feathers

I persuaded them to let me have it online eventually, but I had to remove the cost per session. You're generally ok as long as no-one reports you, but I wouldn't use my ntl webspace to link to ebay auctions or Amazon. Feathers

Hi Puck, For the record, this doesn't sound like the sort of thing that would be a problem on our service - As long as you don't send out thousands of spam mails pointing to it :-) Like most ISPs, we do have a clause in our T&Cs which disallows the webspace on a residential account from being used for "Commercial" purposes. This however applies to people who are actually using their webspace to run a business - Ebay would be an example of a commercial site which would need to pay for commercial hosting. Anyway, just passing chaps - Sorry for butting in.
