| Not only is this individual on -5, but look how quickly they collected them. (Some of you may have seen this individual, as I only found it after following a link posted on this group) Take a look at http://cgi2.ebay.co.uk/aw-cgi/eBayIS...serid=ryanmcmr Mike On Wed, 16 Jul 2003 19:56:21 +0100, "Chris" <nospam@nospam.com> wrote: >What's the worst feedback rating you've seen. I thought eBay automatically deleted any feedback like this - especially if libellous. -- Richard Warr Stevenage | |||

To stop these stupid little kids from deliberately messing about on ebay, I think everyone who registers to open an Ebay account should have to submit their credit card details for verification purposes. The name & address details they use to open an Ebay account will have to match their CC details before they're allowed to make any bids.

You certainly have to enter CC and bank details to open a UK account now, but I dont know whether they are verified.

I don't agree! I am a single mum currently on benefits. Therefore I don't have a credit card or debit card. EBay has been a life saver for me. On birthdays and Christmas I have been able to buy pressies for my kids a lot cheaper than in the shops. It has also been great for me to sell unwanted things and make a little money to treat the kids as well as de-clutter my house. It is great being able to buy stuff on eBay but then pay by postal order and also receive payment by postal order/cheque. If I had to have a credit card to join eBay it would take away the whole magic of it. I know lots of people who don't have credit cards too and they shouldn't be penalised from using this great online community. Jen --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. That is unique to the person and you don't get that until you are 16. In the US they use the SS number as id. Jen --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. That'd be me stuffed, then, seeing as I don't have a credit card in the first place. (I joined before you needed one.) I wouldn't have any problem with some kind of bank account verification, though. -- Above address *is* valid - but snip spamtrap to get me to *read*!
