I too would be surprised if its 50kg. Some of the old 1970's VCR's that I
have feel very heavy but only weigh about 16Kg-17Kg. As there is not so
much to a reel to reel I would imagine it would weigh about the same, in
which case Parcelforce or a local courier is your best route since they
(Parcelforce at any rate) will pick up from your door.
