| Hi, I've heard that fruit machine programs are based on "Game Theory" and was wondering if there are any online examples or descriptions of them (sorta "Know Thy Enemy" impulse prompted me to ask). I know, if you tell me then you'll have to kill me.. -- John Latter Model of an Internal Evolutionary Mechanism (based on an extension to homeostasis) linking Stationary-Phase Mutations to the Baldwin Effect. http://members.aol.com/jorolat/TEM.html 'Where Darwin meets Lamarck?' The casino provided a chart for a machine with 3 wheels. The chart provided the number of each type of fruit for each wheel, as well as the probability that resulted from each fruit distribution. Each 3-wheel combination was listed in table of possibilities. The machine was programmed to randomly select one 3-wheel combination at each spin. The probability chart ensured that, with a random selection mechanism, the players would lose far more often than they one. The odds were heavily stacked in the casino's favor. | |||
