| I'm in college atm and I selected computer science as a major. Lately I've been questioning it. I'm hoping to find out more about the actual work computer science majors do on a daily basis. What computer science jobs are out there besides programming and what do programmers spend most of their time doing? So far I've only taken a class on scheme and I didn't love it or hate it. Thanks, Snail | |||

It really depends on who you work for and what you're working on, but it's fair to say that most software developers, if they are lucky, spend most of their day programming. The unlucky ones get stuck in meetings most of the time. I've been at both ends of the spectrum at different jobs. > What computer science jobs are > out there besides programming and what do programmers spend most of their > time doing? If you really don't like programming, don't study it. Personally, I really enjoyed programming from the start and enjoyed it all through school. | |||
