| Hello All, I just recently upgraded my video card (geforce4 ti4200 to ati 9700 pro) and direct x (8 to 9) on my development system. After I did that I now get some strange behaviour with some of my graphics routines. The game I'm developing is just a simple 2D tiled, turn based game therefore the graphics are fairly simple. Oh and I use older directx structures, pre directx 7 I believe. Is this typical? Any thoughts/suggestions? thanks, dn | |||

| You need to be more specific about "strange behaviour". Is it simply displaying the colors incorrectly? If so, it's likely that one video card uses an A1R5G5B5 pixel format while the other uses a R5G6B5 format. Regardless, it shouldn't depend on the version of DirectX you're using. dn <x@microsoft.com> wrote in message news:bjihl1$5j7$1@news01.intel.com... > Hello All, > > I just recently upgraded my video card (geforce4 ti4200 to ati 9700 pro) and > direct x (8 to 9) on my development system. | Good point. Basically it's when I end the program I get one of those Microsoft do you want to send the error report messages. I was not getting this message before I changed DirectX version and video card, but it could just be another issue festering I suppose. Which brings me to another question. I spawned off another thread to collect input, which works great but my debugging capability has been hampered severely. I was told that the debugger can attach to a specific process and I see where you do that but how exactly do you carry that out? Do you go into debug mode and execute the first line of code and then attach the debugger to your process and go from there? thanks, dn | |||

| What strange behavior are you getting?
