| I've been working on a project in Visual Basic that requires me to change the users screen resolution to 640x480 and back to the original resolution. I've figured out how to get the users screen resolution, but I can't seem to figure out how to change it (Too much database programming I guess :/ ). If any one can point me in the direction I need to go I would greatly appreciate it. Radical Edward | |||

| The system I'm working on is Windows 2000, and I have access to both the Windows API and DirectX 9.0 However, I would prefer to keep things to the Windows API, due to the constraints of the program. Truthfuly though, I would like to learn how to do it in DirectX as well. | Hi Edward, Well, in DX it's very simple: you just call SetDisplayMode (look it up in the SDK). As to doing the same in Win32, I've never bothered learning how to, but I think it's not nearly as easy (especially if you're talking about full-screen modes). -- Best wishes, Allen No SPAM in my email !! | Thanks for the help, I'll go chase down the DX SDK (I have it on disk somewhere) and see what happens.
