Question installing windows

ok ive just put a second pc together and am trying to put windows xp on it, i get it partitioned and formatted, then get it loaded to the actual installation with the GUI but when its loading the drivers it asks me that the *battery* driver is not in the Windows Hardware Compatibility List, (HLC) and it also does that for the CD ROM, wtf!!!!!!!!
so i select continue anyway and then it gets to the CD key, i enter the CORRECT cd key and it says that its not the correct one, its a duron 700 on a GA-7DXR with 32x CDROM and two 10 GIG hard drives, can any one help me
