| Member Level 3 | ok ive just put a second pc together and am trying to put windows xp on it, i get it partitioned and formatted, then get it loaded to the actual installation with the GUI but when its loading the drivers it asks me that the *battery* driver is not in the Windows Hardware Compatibility List, (HLC) and it also does that for the CD ROM, wtf!!!!!!!! so i select continue anyway and then it gets to the CD key, i enter the CORRECT cd key and it says that its not the correct one, its a duron 700 on a GA-7DXR with 32x CDROM and two 10 GIG hard drives, can any one help me | ||

Also please could you tell me if you have removed the old partition and stuff off the hard drive before trying to install the os, or is the hard drive new? | ||

| MK PitStop Member | if you get the new CD of windows xp,keep one thing in your mind that should be xp windows operating system service pack 2.put in CD room then you automatically folow the steps that are wriiten there,it's easy | ||

| Member Level 3 | If you want to Install an operating system so you have to put the CD in cdrom and them you have to give a boot to your PC through CDrom support then it automaticaly detect your hardware and then you are done. | ||

| MK PitStop Member | You have to INsert the Microsoft Window,s CD and then you have to restart your pc then change your bootsequence from your PC setup at startup then bootfrom cd rom device now done next step,s are easy just read and press the key that you have to press. | ||
