Nice post there furion and I would have also said the same things about these software programs, but for McAFEE I would have just said crap and just dont tuch it.

In my eyes McAFEE are getting big because of things like Dell using it within there systems but I have tryed it and McAFEE is one of the most stress full virus software I have seen it just gets in the way all the time

The thing is.. if you have a closed system where no changes can be made its a okok S/w... thats when u got all previleges and stuff right,, and you need to be on the NT platform...

AVG used to be free, now you have to buy it. When it was free, it was my antivirus of choice. But it doesn't provide full protection against viruses and a lot of trojans get through. I am not sure if that is the same with the retail version.

Norton Corporate Edition is what I use. Free updates and no subscription renewal. But it still doesn't deal with all viruses out there. A good antispyware is still necessary.

As far as the fact that its not as powerfull as others. Yep it isn't. Kaspersky is the best. But u need a faster system for it. AVG on the other hand uses very lil resources.

so choose what works for u.

And I would recommed that u stop using Symatch Corporate. Coz it gets DISABLED by some viruses. AND even when its DISABLED it still shows as ENABLED REAL TIME PROTECTION.

Go for Kaspersky, it rocks!

MCAFE 9.0 professional virus scan is nice and free also keep it up to date for new virus recoveration mcafee team working with many famous hacker's so we can say best.

no offence meant. McAfee is a weak product. It has very good updates. I will give u that! but whats the point if mcafee gets disable by viruses.

So avoid anythign with McAssFee writtes on it

never heard of it? Trojans can corrupt harddisk.. erase data... thats at most,


They cannot damage the hardware. There are a few viruses which put a lot of stress on the computer. but they dont destroy hardware
