| MK PitStop Member | I have been told that uninstalling Norton Antivirus doesnt remove all the files, and using there software isnt ment to be able to remove all the files as well. does any one here have any tips on what to do to remove all the Norton Antivirus files? | ||

| MK Moderator ![]() | ok, step 1 go to control panel/ folder options/ view tab/ and then under hidden files and folders select "show hidden files and folders" step 2 then go to your norton folder and it should have a folder of cached and quarantined stuff, just delete the contents of this folder step 3 click the reputation meter under my name and add to it lol | ||

Anyway, I also had to delete remnant Norton files before after uninstalling it. I went to the registry to make manual changes. I have a printout but I am soooo lazy to type it out here and I can't find the site I got it from. But to make your life easier, there is actually a removal tool for Norton Antivirus. You can download that utility through the Symantec site or through this link. Hope that helps. | |||
