As far as I can see, Deja News doesn't wrap posters' mail addresses in
tags like <a href="mailto:user.robertc@operamail.com">Robert Carnegie</a>
or (?) any equivalent. Where mail addresses in messgaes are clickable, they
don't bring up a mail form, they bring up a catalogue of Usenet postings
at Deja News by the specified author.

I suppose that when people take their arguments over to e-mail, Deja News
loses patronage.

And unless I'm overlooking something, Opera can't take text which happens
to be a mail address, like "kolthoff@gmx.net", and turn it into a
clickable link.

Although maybe OperaMail can; it does URLs. Maybe if you say
mailto first, like mailto:user.robertc@operamail.com ?
