| Folks, just in case, here is a list of fixes since 3.50. These fixes will soon find their way into a public 3.51. This is a brief summary of changes done since Opera 3.50 final, build 238 [Opera 3.51 internal beta1, build 240] · JPEG library rewritten to support progressive JPEG, only on 32bit for the moment. · javascript: Updated plugin and mime-type support in navigator object, plus numerous fixes to Javascript in general · Updated Date class to support timezones · Some FTP servers return size 0 (null) for directories. Fixed so that in this case a CWD is tried before downloading. · Fix for plugins which wanted to download files before New has completed. · Bugfixed GetURL/GetURLNotify for plugins · Implemented default plugin, which is activated when no plugin for the specified type has been registered, only for 32 bit for the moment · Fix in FTP-authorization · Fixed TLS fallback through proxy · Fixed <U> and <S> that missed underline/strike · Remove default top margin on first P. · Fixed the 'ex' unit calculation. · Changed the handling of line-height with value 'normal'. · Keep empty frames with size set by CSS. · Fixed infinite format loop bug. · Added support for fileopentext in plugins. · Fixed the problem that newest files in cache were deleted first under exit. · Changed the way disk cache size is calculated. · Also optimized the checking of disk cache size. · Change to allow <SCRIPT> inside all container elements. · Use table widths specified in CSS · Use CSS properties on TR as well. · Fixed problem with vertical alignment on cells spanning more than one row, and where all content is a floating frame. · Fixed a table border color bug · Support CSS media types · Opera did not warn about active downloads when Opera was closed. · Minor improvements in "Global History" display. · Removed some redundant disk access that caused problems when the system was in "power save" mode. · When a frame document is created for the first time default keyboard focus will be set to the largest frame. · Some problems with keyboard focus in frames. · Changed the Opera clock to show AM/PM if appropriate. · Increased max. no. of global history lines to 9999 · Bugfix: (16-bits only) OUsr350.dat files written the current directory and not the Opera directory where they belong. · Keyboard focus was not transferred to document window when opening an URL from the hotlist window into an existing window. · Opera registration could fail if the user account was assigned "less than the default user account" user rights. · Opera could crash when reading an corrupted global history file. · Added icon for transfer window · Maximized windows was not restored to maximized when reading the saved windows setting file. · Fix: Hotlist (16-bits version only). Many of the keyboard shortcuts in the context menu was not functional. (Cut, copy, paste, delete and properties) · Improved: Reduced "hotlist save time". I.e. when adding an hotlist entry. · Progressbar now working correctly on top and bottom of document windows. Known bugs/problems: -------------------- · IntelliMouse/WheelMouse -- You may encounter problems if the mouse driver as "emulation mode" enabled. For the MS 2.1 driver this located on the "Wheel tab" and named "Universal Scrolling". For the MS 2.1 driver please add Opera to the "Universal Scrolling Exceptions List" on the tab mentioned above. (Opera is handling wheel panning and scrolling by itself but fails to notify the driver that this is the case). The same principle applies to other mouse drivers. · CTRL+G (Toggle the display between document and user settings) is not functional. | |||

| I didn't see a reference to JDK 1.2. Does this mean it's not a problem (in which case, I'm doing something seriously wrong in how I have things set up). Or, does it mean that JDK is not, and won't be, supported and one HAS to use 1.1? Thanks, **** | |||

| How about the "Copy of text" bug whereby the first character often times is omitted when pasting copied text? Howie -- "Opinions vary." --Dalton, Road House ------------------------- | |||

There's a separate thread about that and I believe it has something to do with the direction of marking the text. I could be wrong though. The programmers know about that, BTW. Helmar

Doesn't answer your question, but for the time being it's 1.1 only. Helmar
