My project computer, pc case ready for moding

OK I have gone mad I have decided to get all my old computer parts and make my own computer, not all the parts were that old and some I did buy as I will be using this computer as my new computer, yes that’s right you didn’t read it wrong I will be using it as my computer as I don’t mind if the pc isn’t fully new.

OK so let’s start with the great whopping specifications

Hardware:

Motherboard = not looked into it yet it was the only newest one I had
CPU = AMD Duron (not new)
RAM = 512MB (new and a cheap make but trusting and leaves me one port for future)
Graphics Card = (cant even tell you the make its old and I new it worked so in it went)
Master Hard Drive = massive 20GB HDD Maxtor DiamondMax (not new but in great condition and not the best HDD but I still like them)
Slave Hard Drive 1 = again massive 20GB HDD Maxtor DiamondMax (not new but in great condition)
Slave 2 = CF (Flash Card) Drive IDE adapter (will show more soon)
Wireless Network Card = BELKIN High Speed

Style and cooling = 2 extra crystal clear blue LED fans (more to come)

External Hardware:

Digital TV / Radio = Freecom DVB-T USB Stick (new because I wanted to)

OS (operation system)

Windows XP Pro SP2 (new because I am hard lol)

Software:

Lots and will not list all because it’s just boring and sad unless I get something good on it.


OK that’s it as for the case it was just an old one I had that had really never been used, so what are my plans well this is the fun bit, I plan to get as much power out of the system so that its straining but working and I will be using it so it has to stay in good working and trusting order.

So where to start well I thought on looks, well there isn’t much point in having LED fans if you cant see them is there, so the side panel is getting modded and will have an acrylic window in and another LED fan maybe to, then the case is getting painted I might even air brush the computer case yet I am not sure we will have to see, also the front of the computer case is getting chopped up as well and modded but don’t know how to make it look yet as there is a LED fan at the front as well and think it would look good showing through.

So here are some pictures sorry the inside of the case are not good pictures I was trying to show the lights on the fans but I am crap and taking pictures.

If any one comes up with some good ideas please say as I will do them if there nice ideas, I will also keep this thread up to date and I have conected the computer to the internet so will be on it as from tomoz and I have added some bad pictures of the tv working on the monitor
