| Member Level 1 | What do you think is better? Alot of people say that a AMD Althon 3200+ is better than a Intel Pentium 4 3.0Ghz, was unable to make my mind up what i wanted, so i bought both of them, one for both my pcs. OMG the people are wrong Intel is WELL FASTER than the AMD. | ||

| MK PitStop Member | If we're talking about better, I think Intel processors have a balance of power and longevity in their lives. AMD, on the other hand, pushes itself beyond the limit, hence the sheer amount of heat their CPUs generate. Then again, I could be wrong. I have both a Pentium II and an AMD K62 still working back home. But the latter doesn't work well without a lot of ventilation. | ||

| Member Level 2 | The age old fight is here once again. Both the processors have plus and minus points for them. I personally find that AMD are alot better at gaming then pentium, but in return pentium are much better at multimedia. I usually go for bang per buck. I perfer AMD because what they offer for my cash is alot more cost effective. When i buy a pentium i know i will be paying higher proces for the same thing basically a AMD does | ||

| Member Level 3 | Yes, the main thing AMD's cache the memory and are faster onto the other parts of the computer so are faster on playing high-memory applications such as games. However Intel is better at multi-tasking, so depends what you use it for. | ||

| Member Level 3 | Considering the price difference between the 2 I would go for AMD every time. There is no significant performance advantage with Intel CPUs that could warrant the price hike. | ||

| MK Moderator ![]() | Well i agree, AMD is better price and more features.. plus if you tag along ASUS premium boards the combo becomes a killer. However AMD is good for places with low temperature.. its not good for tropical countries.. coz of its over heating... I can't run AMD for hrs without air conditioning.. thats the only reason i went in for an INTEL. | ||

| MK Moderator ![]() | They did think about it... and came out with cool and quiet technology.. but that isnt good enough.. they need to further enhance their capabilities... | ||

| MK PitStop Member | Well that might explain why I have an Intel. Still, some of my friends who are more into computers prefer and use AMD. | ||
