| Junior Member | Hi there, I am unashamedly a newb in the world of hardware so go gentle please. I've done plenty of research before posting here (believe me, PLENTY) but I would value some experienced and educated opinions on the system that I'm think of buying: AMD Athlon™ 64 X2 Dual-Core Processor 5200 ASUS M2N4-SLI MOBO 4GB Ram - still trying to get an answer on the specs on this 8800GTX 768MB nVidia GeForce Video 250GB SATAII SONY 18X DUAL LAYER Multiformat DVD Writer 6 USB ports Thermaltake soprano with 650W PSU For the UK people out there this if for under 1000 pounds. It's an ebay purchase - boooooooo - but it's the only way I can afford a system like this. I wasn't sure if posting an ebay link would be against forum rules?? Anyhow, I really would greatly appreciate some hardware nerds (no offence intended, I'm a software nerd) opinions. Thanks Ben Oooh. Forgot to add what I'll doing with the beast. VMWare testing a developement using desktop and server platforms (hence the over killl on RAM), photoshop and games such as BF2 and Fear. Last edited by bennyguitarboy : 04-02-2007 at 9:22 PM. | ||

| MK PitStop Member | I have been juked before a while ago when I bought a computer on ebay because they didnt install the correct CPU and motherboard and completely lied to me. They were new to Ebay so I should have known, but I have gotten other computers from ebay from other trusted sellers, and the computers work great., Just thought I would share my experience. | ||
