Default some of the best torrent search engines

  • Torrentportal.com

  • Bitsoup: Bitsoup is a growing favorite amongst P2P downloaders. As the trend towards private torrent sharing continues, you will need to signup and join as a member to participate in the Bitsoup swarm.

  • BiteNova: (formerly known as “Bi-Torrents”, BiteNova is a free Torrent site with a spartan look and fast searching format.)

  • Torrentscan.com: (a "meta-search" engine, which is a search engine that searches other search engines)

  • LegalTorrents.com: (As the name implies, this is a database of public-domain content.)

  • Isohunt.com: Isohunt is barring American users from connecting to American torrent trackers. American users, however, can still use Isohunt to find torrents, and connect to third party trackers.

  • Torrentspy.com : Torrentspy has voluntarily closed its doors. Instead of conforming to the American court mandates to change their privacy policies, the Torrentspy team has opted instead to cease operations.
  • Torrentz.com
  • Torrents.to: (born from previous Suprnova influences)

  • Torrentmatrix.com

  • Mininova.org: It has 190,000 torrents. Mininova is the successor to Suprnova, one of the original big torrent databases of the Web.

  • FileMP3.org

  • TorrentBytes.net

  • Torrentreactor.to: (Torrentreactor has made a comeback from a hijacking and an uncooperative hosting service. They have moved to a different server setup and a Tonga country domain outside the USA.)

  • Torrentbox.com FYI: like Isohunt, Torrentbox is being sued by the MPAA. The days for this fine search engine may be numbered.

  • BTjunkie

  • TorrentTyphoon.com: (a unique bittorrent meta-search engine that searches several of the most popular sites. Unfortunately, it does not do a good job categorizing the torrent files themselves)

  • Yotoshi.com

  • The Pirate Bay: (Pirate Bay, by readership size, is the most popular torrent search site today. Pirate Bay has an immense database of 600,000+ torrents, the largest database at this time.)

That is a good list. I know most of them but still got to know new ones. Mininova is so far the better site for torrent downloads I feel.

Thank you for the list, I love torrents but I didn't know that many torrent sites, only a few, like mininova, and torrrentz, and BTarg.

I would have to say that those are some really great ones, and most of those are ones i have already used or found on google and I think that the best one for me would have to be filemp3 I really like that one, and to me it seems to be the best one but that is only for me, most of my friends say that some of the rest of them are the better ones, I think that it just depends on what you are looking for and all of that, but honestly I think that filemp3 is the best and i would recommend it to anyone that was going to use a torrent search engine, its really the best one for me that I have found so far.

Thank you for the list. My number one choice is really torrentportal but I don't like their homepage. I just search on other sites when torretportal doesn't have the torrent I like.
