how can people chip sky boxes .. because if i knew that i wouldent pay for it lol .... nah but how is it possible ?

donnt think it so much chipped boxes more dodgy card's. Think they just unscramble the feed

ive heard tha it can be done by computer ... ive seen a m8 of mine do it on a cable d box

I think the cable box's are chiped but the sky box is done by a card that has been programed, I might be wrong as I am not to up on sky my self. If it is chiped then they will chip the box and make it hack the main control so it reads the card different etc etc.

But like I said I am not to up on that sorry, you could buy a chiped one and get hold of one that wasnt then open them and see if there is any chip in there

think about it this way the satalite is constantly sending the data. it is not picky where it goes.

The dish recieves it.

The box recieves the signal scrambled

The card contains the details to unscramle the signlal

Clean signal is outputted

So basicaly the chipped box or card can be used. or even done on the pc it is just a matter of unscrambling the feed coming in.
which i have never really looked into, though i do believe the level of scrambling is poor

So poor in fact that certain tv cards, freeview etc that are designed to pick up feeds can unscramble them. As it just sees it as a feed . Though i know not of a current product confirmed to do this.

Well if i am not mistaken i think the cable box's are chiped but the sky box is done by a card.....
