| MK Moderator ![]() | #1 This is too generic of a thread.... #2 I think the average "hardcore" computer wiz/ gamer/ web pirate/ hacker/ blogger has a true need for both. I love the power of a desktop and the infinite possibilities for expansion. However, there are points where it would be nice to take some of that with me on the road, to a meeting, on a flight, etc. So I think that if you analyze this question and ask yourself what would I really want to have, the answer is kill me or let me have both | ||

| Member Level 3 | I have both, but prefer Desktop. The main reason is you can upgrade Desktops a lot more easily then Laptop's.

| MK PitStop Member | Nice one... But you see, all the people cannot afford to have both of them. Thats why I made a thread asking the best option for each person that they would choose depending on their usage or financial criteria or whatever it is. Hope this answers your question.

| Member Level 3 | I honestly think that I would rather have a desktop at times because my laptop that I have right now isn't worth that much honestly because it never was and i don't know why but overall i would have to say that i really do like laptops because I like to be able to lay in the bed and work on the computer, so if i could have a really good laptop that was actually worth something and worked good i would rather have it in the end. So my end choice would have to be a laptop very good to use in different situations. | ||

| MK PitStop Member | i have 3 desktops and 1 laptop but overall when on the go the laptop is the best for not many cables to carry around and very light wieght compared to the desktop. also it takes up alot less room then the desktop. | ||
