Suggestions Needed....

Hi,Friends
I am new to this forum and need some help from you all.I have purchased new machine at my place but the problem is that suddenly my machine got hanged initially it got started and my antivirus was getting updated and suddenly it crashed down it was just as if it got hanged all things came to stand still.I tried to restart the machine and a message appeared :-
Windows could not start because following file is missing or corrupt:
\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32|CONFIG\SYSTEM

You can attempt to repair this file by restarting Windows Setup using the original Setup CD-ROM
Select 'r' at the first screen to start repair.

But no use friends I have tried this too.What to do now?
Do I have to Format my machine?
Please help!!!

sure. u need to format that. if u can load to windows i still cld help u but in this case...no other way

I know nothing about computers when I get a message like that augh I have to call a repairman to come fix it.

I am afraid your window is corrupted and an important window's file is missing there..repairing it won't solve the whole problem because the file missing have many functions and repairing alone won't recover it fully.

It will be better to install a fresh copy of window which will solve this problem fully. Repairing will take some time and also there is no guarantee the system will work well.

I guess this problem is caused by a virus that corrupted your system files.
