| MK PitStop Member | Hi everyone I have been having connection problems and it has taken me a whole week to get back to the site. I hope someone can help with the query. You know the folders within ones computer (the yellow ones)......? Well some of mine have what can only be described as a retangular shaped flat surfaced thing, that is blue around all edges and has 6 smaller rectangular shapes sitting within of various colours. These are situated in front of each yellow folder slighty to the right and down a little. That is the best description I can come up with and I hope someone knows what they are. As mentioned above, I have been having all kinds of problems trying to stay connected for more than a minute at a time and some problems have been resolved but not entirely, however, these folder additions have only just come to my notice, I have no idea how long they have been there or even if they are the cause of my computer problems at the moment. Any ideas from anyone? Please, please reply soon. I am having terrible withdrawal symptoms from not being here at MK every day! | ||

| MK PitStop Member | Thank you both for your replies. Sorry I could not respond sooner but I have only just managed to get back online today since posting this thread. I am sure I do not have a virus as virus checks are run frequently via AVG. I have Zone Alarm and Winpatrol so I am sure it is not that. As for accidently changing the appearance of my folders.......... how would I have done that? Could you tell me what to do to undo it, if it proves to be the cause? Thank you for your help. | ||

| MK PitStop Member | Hi Spot516 Nice to see you again (not literally of course). It has been a while.:-) Thanks for the advice. As I am only learning from others of what is best to use to protect ones computer, of course, I have erred. AVG etc have been replaced. Thanks again. | ||

| MK PitStop Member | Sorry, I forgot to mention I have sorted out the folder issue which was my inital query. Here is how I did it should anyone else have the same problem. Click on: Start My computer C drive (or whatever drive applies) Right click on any folder that needs changing scroll down to properties Customise tag at top Change Icons Then select which folder style you prefer. OK and you are done. There were quite a few to do and I had to do them individually. I am not sure why I was not able to do them all in one go. At least it is done now.
