I am planning to get an USB - External hard drive. Which one is the best and which brand is value for money? Hope I can get a fair number of suggestions from here.

I use a Western Digital 40 GB external USB HDD. It can be slow at times and is a little costly. Try Seagate. My friends tell me that they are very good. They recently came out with a 400GB external which costs around $399. All the reviews rate this piece very highly. Read the reviews yourself and see if it suits your needs.

Ebay .com is the best place to buy anything .....online .... Well the idea of using usb external drive is good i am also using1 of 40 giga bytes ...

usb external hard drive is not really that expensive. it is really great and that you can really save so much data there.
