Arrow What difference do you see in a TFT or a standard one?

What difference do you see in a TFT or a standard one, I have had both TFT and standard but when I had my TFT all I found was that the TFT was slimmer but same quality of picture.

What do you think?

Graphice professionals still use CRT. they are the ultimate in color reproduction. Besides they scale resolution better.

LCD's are cool, but they refresh slower than CRT.s They are fixed to one resolution their native resolution or else they look crappy. And color reproduciton is not as good.

CRT's are still better for gamming and photo editing in my opinion, just because of the response time, and better resolution.....but you guys are right, price is a big issue too, your average LCD is about 50-75% more than a CRT of the same size.....

some benifits of the LCD are desk space, and power consumption, but other than that, they look good and are light....but provide no preformance benefit
