| MK PitStop Member | Lenovo Rocks the Monitor Landscape With New ThinkVision L171p Lenovo expanded its line of ThinkVision monitors with the introduction of the ThinkVision L171p, a 17-inch Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) monitor that can rotate into portrait mode (1) to offer a vertically oriented screen that enables viewing of an entire document page, boosting productivity. Building on Lenovo's leadership in design and innovation, the ThinkVision L171p offers users a choice of working in the familiar landscape mode for spreadsheets or presentations, for example, or in portrait mode for web-browsing or word processing. The ThinkVision L171p enables people to view an entire 8 1/2 by 11 inch page on-screen at once, for an advantage in productivity. "The majority of reading materials, such as newspapers, books or newsletters, have a vertical orientation. Monitors supporting pivot, or portrait mode capabilities, can increase productivity since users don't have to keep scrolling up and down,Businesses are no longer limited to one viewing option. The L171p offers the choice between a landscape or portrait view." In addition to general business applications, including word processing, e-mail and spreadsheets, the L171p is well-suited for insurance offices, law offices and applications such as document management, desktop publishing and graphic design. Supporting multiple monitor configurations, the monitor's ultra-narrow 14-millimeter monitor bezel saves space while providing a nearly seamless view from one monitor to the next. The L171p offers 110 millimeters of height adjustment and can swivel 45 degrees left or right for more comfortable viewing angles or group collaboration. A high contrast ratio of 700:1 provides deep and rich colors, and a typical response time of 8 milliseconds delivers fluid viewing of full-motion video, reducing blurring and ghosting. Other features of the L171p include convenient direct access buttons for brightness and Automatic Image setup for quick optimal display configuration. New ThinkVantage designs by Lenovo further enhance usability with swivel capabilities built in to the neck instead of the base of the monitor and easy access analog and digital connectors. | ||
