| MK PitStop Member | i think you need to have an hd tv to do it. you have to have cables that you can plug into your computer and to your tv. we tried it in our tv which is an hd sony tv with my dads dell laptop and it workded. the quality of the picture is i think the same quality in the laptop or maybe even better. but it didnt play sounds in the tv though, it still came out of the laptop. or maybe i didnt know how to do it yet.

| MK PitStop Member | If your video card is like my ATI Radeon 9200, you will have a s-video output besides your normal RGB and DVI output. If you don't have s-video output, go get a video cash with s-video output. Anyway, get 1 with DVI if you're going to use LCD. The s-video cable is available at local electric and electronic or AV stores. | ||

| MK PitStop Member | You need a TV tuner card for it, but there are many ports available in the market to get an output on a TV.

| MK PitStop Member | Your TV needs to have the D-SUB input. When I had some mates over we done this because the TV is I think 43" then watched stuff online because I've got a good connection. It was good because it's basically just a huge monitor, and TVs are cheaper than monitors but it was a bit blury and the TV has HD, still though I'd prefer a huge monitor, it's good for gaming and watching movies etc. on your PC Last edited by compt122 : 07-17-2008 at 8:18 PM. | ||
