Small mother boards

If they can make small phones that hold windows etc etc, and have a memery card also PDA's why can't they make small motherboards for small computers as well.

Think about it, you are ment to be able to have windows xp on a flash card and load it as your main source insted of a HDD so that cuts the size down.

Has any one made a small computer yet?

a small computer....i dont think so i think the idea of keeping computers "life size" is so that they are easier to work on

But it would be intresting to have a computer system about the size of a dvd case in width and about 4" height

There are many limitations when you want to build a small motherboard. It is possible to make it (they already exist in laptops), but manufacturing of it is expensive. It is no real need o have a small motherboard in a PC.
Phones has to be small...and effectiveness of phone hardware doesn't reach that one of PC (at the same prize...)

Small phone vs pc there are many thing,s which are change a small phone is worth is more then 5 pc,s and you know about imate pocket pc that is answer of your question

the computers are used for the large amount of applications,and if company makes the hardware miniature then they will not able to provide good performance to the custmer

You are talkin about PDA,S and SMARTPHONES these are not over need You know na that the pda,s and smartphones keyboard we can work on pc faster then a Smartphone or Pda.
