| Member Level 2 | I would also like to know why you prefer Intel as a better motherboard. I myself prefer AMD as its cheaper and seems to work well with my configuration. Intel tended to crash more.

| MK PitStop Member | Intel boards are good if you need them. They are from Intel you know they will work. Thats basically much of what I think of Intel mobo's. They support the fastest ram but they dont hace all the stuff thet comes with nForce4 (hardware firewall, 2x gigabit lan, 7.1, 2 million USB ports... etc) | ||

| MK Moderator ![]() | Intel motherboards are actually very very expensive for what they offer in comparison to a comperable AMD motherboard | ||

| MK PitStop Member | In spite of the price, Intel sells more than AMD. However, AMD is gaining more popularity because of word of mouth from AMD users who have been able to compare it with Intel motherboards. That is one reason that the next time I get a computer, the motherboard will be an AMD. | ||

| Member Level 3 | Well, I think the war here is that AMDs are powerful yet need good maintenance, and Intels on the other hand are expensive, but reliable and have good speeds. I think this is Intel's reputation - being reliable. I have a friend who was a PC shop owner that shared me this info. | ||
